Back at Kaffeehaus after quite a long time… This time I was there to try a couple of new items in their menu, namely what looked from the pics in facebook to be some sort of a Roulade made with Chicken and also a White Chocolate Brownie… I had never tried any of the Pasta options from here and so, thought of having the same and hence tried what they call as the Spaghetti Napoli, which is the litest among the options available…

So, first lets talk about the pasta… The option I went for was the Spaghetti Napoli… According to the menu as well as the waiter, its the original Italian version of Pasta, in this case, the Spaghetti, in the Tomato sauce… They also informed me that Chicken can be added as a topping… It came as shown in the pics below…

First of all, the Pasta was cooked perfectly as al dente… Since its said to be the original Italian version, I expected to see the classic Pomodoro sauce… However, the sauce here is a creamy version of the tomato sauce with cream added to it when cooking… The sauce had a rich taste of tomatoes, garlic, basil, oregano and cream… The Chicken used was cooked and seasoned perfectly… The Pasta dish was topped with some grated cheese and some chopped basil as well… Altogether a really delicious dish that I felt to be a Pasta option thats one of the better options of the same that I have had so far…
As I was done with the Pasta, the Roulade dish arrived and here its called as the Cordonbleu Schnitzel… Essentially, as I was informed, this is basically flattened Chicken Breast thats rolled with Cheese and Ham as the filling and then breaded and fried just like how they do, the Schnitzel… Since I don’t eat Pork, they gave me the option of having it made using Chicken Ham instead of the Pork Ham as part of the filling… So, obviously I went for that option… So, it arrived as shown in the pics below, served with Grilled Potato Slices, Garlic Bread, Vegetable Carpaccio and the Tartar Sauce at the side…

The Chicken was cooked perfectly for me… Very easy to cut into with the fork… The amount of breading was just right, as in a very thin coating and seasoned really well with salt, pepper and smoked paprika… Inside the roll, the Chicken ham tasted quite good thats seasoned well… Overall taste of the Chicken with the Ham and the Cheese tasted really well for me and including the Tartar sauce adds the sour component and adds to the richness… The accompanying bread was incredibly soft and toasted perfectly with the salted garlic butter… Its really one of the best garlic breads that I have had so far… The Grilled Potatoes were seasoned well as well and grilled to have a crispy thin outer coating and soft and fluffy inside… The grilled Carpaccio of vegetables consisted on Carrots and Zucchini… Even though I liked the carrots, I didn’t quite like the zucchini usage but then again thats just me… 🙂 So, overall, I did enjoy this dish very much…
Once I was done with the Cordonbleu Schnitzel, my dessert, ie, the White Chocolate Brownie arrived and it arrived as shown in the pics below topped with Vanilla Icecream, White Chocolate Chips and drizzled with some Condensed Milk…

First of all, this brownie is incredibly sweet… A bit too sweet for my taste, but incredibly soft, rich and flavourful with the White Chocolate… They had heated the brownie and so, the classic combination of hot cake with cold ice cream was again seen here… Even though the addition of White Chocolate Chips seems redundant, it ended up further enhancing the flavour… Except for the abundance of sweetness, this is indeed one of the best desserts that I have ever had and hope to have again in future visits to the place…
So, overall another really good lunch from Kaffeehaus, a place that has never failed to impress me… Looking forward to seeing more from the place… 🙂
